J.Crew had a big spring rollout online yesterday. I was able to see some of these in store the other day, so have a couple to share with you, the Eyelet Top and Schoolboy Blazer in Indigo Dot. Both were darling. The "secret" 20% off sale supposedly goes through Saturday. If you didn't receive an email (I didn't), as a VPS to help you out, and they likely will, as it seems everyone should have gotten one.
First, the Eyelet Top. This one very much reminds me of an old-school top that I have in citron. I grabbed a 4 and while I could have sized down to a 2 perhaps, this one felt comfortable. I went for white, which looked crisp and fresh. There is an aubergine and a navy as well. It is nicely made, and a classic style. It's a look that might be hard for bustier women, with the top seam (I'm a 34b, verging on c, if that helps), and it is a flowier look that some might not like. I personally love it and wear my citron one all the time. The length was just right on this one, not too short, not too long.
Next, the Schoolboy Blazer in Indigo Dot, which I think is very cute, and fits TTS (this is my usual 4). The inside detailing was nice to see. I thought it looked great with the Midnight Floral tee (my review of that here).
Oh, and there was an inexpensive-ish long gold necklace there that looks like a mini version of the old locket necklace they offered up years ago, which is one of my favorites. It was in the $39-45 range I believe. There was also a gold/tortoise link long necklace.
Will you be trying out any of the new arrivals? I'll post a review of the Peony Tee tomorrow!
Have a great day!
