anthro reviews: elland dress, swiss dots dress.

Hi everyone!

Popped into Anthro the other day and tried on a few things. Nothing I had to have, but wanted to share a couple reviews.

First, the Elland Dress. I typically wear a size 6 in Tabitha, and that was right for this one, but it just fits. So I'd go true to your Tabitha size, or perhaps size up if you carry weight in your tummy. I think the skirt is really lovely and was lined in acetate, and I like the pretty spring green color up top. The neckline comes down a smidge too much for me. Though it wasn't showing cleavage, if I bend over, we're getting a little show. It's definitely a cute dress, I just am not sure where/how I'd wear it. Also, the top was 100% polyester, and that's just not happening at this price point for me. The skirt was a couple inches above my knee I'd say.

Next is the Swiss Dots Dress, which was hanging out in the lounge section, though it's definitely part of the clothing line. I tried on a small, which worked, and thought it was just ok. I forgot to snap a pic of the fabric content, and while it says cotton online, to me it felt kind of cheapish,  like the stretchy mesh-y stuff that feels like I could pick it up at Francesca's or F21. I felt like it was overpriced because of the fabric. That said, the stretch makes it very comfortable and the bodice ruching is flattering, and the skirt is forgivingly flowy. The armholes seemed cut a little big. The back cutout makes it a deal-breaker for me personally, and my bra did peek through.

What do you think of these two pieces? Have you seen them?

Don't forget to enter to win a chloe + isabel bracelet here. You have through Friday to enter, and I'll pick a winner on Saturday. :) Also, Megan just informed me that they are having a semi-annual sale, and select items are 50% off!

Have a great day!
