So exciting, DH have a little working staycation happening this weekend. My parents are watching our son this weekend so we can get every last thing into storage and do some major prepping (patching, paint touch-ups, cleaning, staging) for putting the house on the market. How awesome are they? So while we'll be working on all of that during the day, we get to have a couple nights out on the town and sleeping in. Heaven!
I was able to hit my (fairly) local J.Crew Factory store yesterday to check out a couple newer items in person, and then wandered over to the clearance section, which was an additional 50% off. Online, they are offering 40% off of final sale prices with code MOREPLEASE. Factory stores will do ship-sends, btw.
From the newer stock, I really love this printed cardigan. This is a size small. I prefer to go up to a medium in these.

In the pic above, I'm wearing the skimmer pants in herringbone in a lovely turquoise color, found on the clearance rack for $15 after discount. I think actually liked these better than my retail wool cafe capris. The color is very pretty and the herringbone made them more interesting. I know the wool capris aren't everyone's favorite, but I was able to wear mine well into the warmer winter days and plan to wear them in early spring as well, when I'm dying for color, but it's still cold. I went with a size 4. Here are a couple outfit ideas for the pants:
turquoise and coral by shopwithm featuring beaded bangles
$15 pants by shopwithm featuring slim pants
There were lots of cashmere v-necks that were about $32 with discount, but I'm full up on my cashmere colors and basics. They felt actually quite nice and soft.
I also found the factory dove tee for $10, a factory Downtown Field Jacket for $40 (retail here).
Also newish is this Pocket Dress, which is navy with red (poppy? coral? hard to tell, they were small) polka dots. This was a size 4, and it just fit a little off for me. I get that the top was supposed to be a little blousy, but it didn't lay right for some reason. I wanted to try on a 6, but they were out. Also, the little pleat at the neck/chest area is not going to work if you're busty. It's also on the short side and 100% viscose. I did like the pockets though.
I like to check out Crewcuts for my son, but sometimes there's a little something in there for us ladies. I loved the little Eiffel Tower critter necklace (it has a little bit of mint coloring to it) and this fun mint beaded necklace with the sunny yellow ribbon. They were about $10 I think.
Also in Crewcuts clearance was this cotton shirt in a size 14. With discount, $12.50. It felt a little snug on my hips buttoned up (which you can see in the pic), but unbuttoned over a tank, it would work.
Have you found anything you liked at Factory lately?
Have a great day!

I stopped in at my Factory store and was so sad to see the same old stuff! There were quite a few empty shelves as well. They said new spring stock is arriving next week so I'm looking forward to that!!! Good luck this weekend!!

They mentioned new stock coming soon to me too, which is very fun!
DeleteI got that Eiffel Tower necklace last night as a ride along. I ordered a bunch of stuff for my daughter and the necklace caught my eye. It's back-ordered until April 18th though. I'll probably forget about it and be happily surprised when it comes.
ReplyDeleteNice picks! I really like that last plaid shirt, but there's no way I could do a kids button front.
I love those little surprises!
Deleteive been wanting to go to our newest factory store... i can't believe the prices on those cashmere sweaters though!
ReplyDeleteI know, isn't that crazy? I didn't want to buy just for the cheap price though, so I left them for others to snag. There were actually quite a few there, which is probalby why they were clearing them out.
DeleteI really enjoyed your reviews. Do the pants at JCrew Factory run the same in sizing as at JCrew. I am just wondering since I am a 4 at JCrew if I would be the same at the Factory? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like some run TTS, but others run a little smaller. I tried on a 4 and a 6 in these, and honestly could have gone with either. The 6 gave me a little more wiggle room, which is always nice.
DeleteI ordered the wool skimmers online in a 4 so hopefully they will fit. Thanks.
DeleteI made a Factory purchase recently when it was 30% off final sale and got a great neutral/ivory sleeveless suiting dress with pintucks at the neckline for only $20 (no longer on the website), along with the factory camp shirt and a printed skirt (not on final sale but on fine sale). I was pleased with all 3 items, and especially the $20 dress which easily looks like something 5x the price.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to you on prepping your house -- I am *dreading* the packing/sorting process and totally have my head in the sand about it.
Great deals Michelle! I love those clearance finds!
DeletePacking/sorting is...a pain. That said, it's very cathartic and pleasing to see things get sorted and cleaned up.
Hi, I was so excited when I read the price you paid for the factory version of the downtown field jacket. I called my local factory store and they told me it was $100 after a 20%off promo. Was yours a clearance find or did it also qualify for the extra 50% off sale?
ReplyDeleteI know, me too! I've been stalking that jacket forever and $40 is perfect, but all the stores I called said $100 :(
DeleteHm, that's odd, I'm so sorry. This was the only one hanging around on the sale rack, so I'm not sure if that's why? Or maybe it's a little different. It was definitely on the clearance rack for $79.99, so qualified for the extra 50%.
DeleteI have several of those same Crewcuts necklaces. They are more wearable for me than the heavier adult ones. I love wearing them. I bought most online and at regular retail JCrew's though.
ReplyDeleteI went to the J.Crew factory store yesterday and the vultures picked over all the cashmere. They only had XS ans S left. 30.00 bucks for cashmere is a good price.
