Last night we took full advantage of our son being away at my parents' and headed out for some fabulous tapas and sangria with friends. The evening was enhanced by the most hilarious waitress, who told us off-color jokes with deadpan delivery all night. It was nice to have an adult night out, which we've been remiss about lately, and we had a lot of laughs. And sangria, did I mention?
What I wore:
Kidding, I'm not feeling quite that terrible. But I'm not so much used to the sangria, so hopefully it won't hit me later today. I'm too old to deal with hangovers. Luckily, I have the ultimate luxury today of being able to go take a nap if need be. ;) That said, I plan to be doing more and more packing today. Then it's the fun part, staging time! I haven't watched HGTV ad nauseum for 15 years not to be fully versed in how to stage a house for selling. (Are Tanya and Roger still on TLC's show? I used to watch that one non-stop. Wait, no, I just looked it up and Tanya's still on, but Roger's gone. Boo.)
Anyway, on to shopping business. I peeked at the J.Crew sale update online this morning, which was a nice one, but I came in a little late to the party, so most things were already gone. If you have a store near you, it's worth stopping in since it's 40% off (versus 30% off online) the sale. Mostly picked over, but you can score some deals (like $12 for the lavender wool cafe capris, crazytown.) Madewell also updated their sale, which is a nice deal at 40% off and free shipping, no min (code LOVE40). If you can get them, I highly recommend the over-the-knee cableknit 1937 socks -- they are super cute peeking out over boots.
If you're on Boden's email list, you may have received a message that their summer preview is available online, with a one-time offer to shop those items with 20% off (code PRV3). Love that they do this. They are still also offering 15% off and free ship/returns on current items (with some already on 20% off promo) with code WAFL. I like the Pintuck Summer Dress and the Cadiz Dress, the Marcy Top and the Pretty Broderie Top.
Alrighty, time to rustle up something a little greasy to eat.

What a fun night! I hope you are feeling well. Drink lots of herbal tea, that's my number one tip. Your outfit was perfect!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dani! I'm doing quite well, surprisingly and I'm just about to have some lovely tea. Maybe with some cookies. :)
DeleteOh that's hilarious! Well you looked lovely and had a great time and yes tea and toast or cookies will sort you out.
ReplyDeleteThanks T! When won't cookies sort me out, those tempting hussies?
DeleteLovely outfit!
ReplyDeleteIf you have a headache after an evening of drinks, have lots of water. You are probably dehydrated.
Good luck with the staging.
Hope you're "recovering" well, hehe. Oh no, the Boden summer collection is already out? I want the gingham shirt dress!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a fun night:) I love that top! Hope the rest of your day went well - remember to drink lots of fluids!
ReplyDeleteJCrew sale items were an extra 50% off today!
ReplyDeleteLove your outfit for the evening! This top is so gorgeous, and really cute with your denim and bangles...sigh. Glad you have a week 'off' sorta. Good luck/fun with the staging!
ReplyDeleteWhere is your shirt from? And can I still find it somewhere?
ReplyDeleteHi Anon, it's from J.Crew, the Hothouse Floral Blouse, and it's on sale, so it's been popping back in the mornings.
DeleteThanks, and so cute! What size is your hothouse blouse? not sure of my j. crew blouse size, wondering if I could wear a size 0 and how it fit on you.
Deletethanks,
kv
