Hi everyone!
Another J.Crew review! I tried on the Jersey Maxiskirt in Stripe right when it came out. I loved the royal blue/navy colorway and the length was perfect for me with flats. I just didn't feel like I had enough to pair it with, so left it there. Well, that and I didn't want to pay FP for it.
So when it dropped in price, I ordered it with the secret promo. I ordered a small, and that's a comfortable fit for me, though I might have been able to even make an XS work. I definitely didn't want it clinging. And even with the ruched waist, it doesn't show up too bulky under a tee.
I also tossed in a cute new factory graphic tee with the Eiffel Tower on it, as a no-brainer match-up (we all have those days). Despite being new, it was promo priced, and with discount, the tee came to just under $14 with promo). I like that it's a v-neck, as that's always more flattering for me. I ordered a medium, again for the clinginess reasons. It's a nice longer length. And no French to mess up. ;)
I also popped into the factory for a few minutes on my drive up north yesterday, and loved the Casbah-print skirt, and a Jackie in pink and navy (not seeing that colorway online yet). The skirt was 30% off in store, as was the sweater and jewelry, and, well...most everything. Oh, and I thought the factory Bubble necklace in turquoise was really pretty, thought it's probably not the same quality (whatever that means). It's smaller in size, and I'll post some pics soon.
Did you try out this skirt?
Love that skirt..looks great with a navy vintage tee also:-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, yes I will def pair with a navy tee thus summer!
DeleteHi M! Your outfit looks super cute and comfortable. I ordered the same top - no French to mess up is right. ;) I didn't try this skirt yet. Does it fit the same as the summerstock maxi skirts?
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see discounts on new arrivals in the Factory store.
Thanks! Yes, I'd say it's similar in sizing to summer stock.
DeleteI love that tee and had it in my shopping cart. It works wells with the skirt. Oh how I am ready for summer. Have my red tessa on today, so many compliments. Did you buy yours yet?
ReplyDeleteI did try out the yellow and love it, but am hoping to snag it on sale. Super cute though!
Deletethank you for the review!! what a great way to mix stripes. i'm too short for the skirt, so i'll admire yours. xox P

Thanks P! Wish they had petites!
DeleteI have both the skirt and the tee! The skirt is awesome for traveling too- I wore it on the plane over spring break and its so soft and comfy!
ReplyDeleteI picked up the tee at the factory store over the weekend and its so adorable. Its a little thin but cute nonetheless!
I'm definitely planning to wear it traveling next week! Perfect for a chilly plane.
Deletecould a petite wear the long skirt? Is it hemmable or the waist rollable? I am 5' but do like the idea of a maxi skirt in the summer. thanks! a
ReplyDeleteHi A! Mmm, I'm 5'5", so you can see where that hits. I do think you could hem it up. You can't really roll the waist because there is some side touching going on.
DeleteI like the stripes in the tee plus in the skirt. Of course. Cute. I prefer a v-neck, too. I bought the bold stripe tee because of that.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I did just relent and get the navy and pink version as well. Surprise! Haha. It feels like a sturdier shirt, doesn't it? Maybe wishful thinking.
