madewell reviews: perfect chambray ex-boyfriend and holepunch flat sandal.

Hi everyone!

Did you have a chance to peruse the new J.Crew arrivals this morning? What's catching your eye? I'll post my favorites probably tomorrow.

I had a chance to pop into my Madewell store the other day and try a couple pretties on and was really pleased. They are offering 25% off some new spring items right now and free shipping on $100+.

Perfect Chambray Ex-Boyfriend Shirt in Ferrous Wash -- Love! The weight, the feel, the perfect light blue color, the longer-in-back hemline -- love it all. It's perfection for spring and summer (not that it can't be worn in the cooler months) to rough up a more feminine dress or to throw over a tank when a cool breeze blows in. I tried on a size small and I liked that fit. An XS might have worked for a more fitted look.

Holepunch Flat Sandal -- Another LOVE. Sorry I didn't get close-up pics. They only had my size in black, but would have ordered the pretty red or found at another store. (I just checked online, and they're backordered until July, boo!) I wear an 8.5 normally, and the 9 was perfect (whole sizes only). ETA: Rose brought it to my attention that they ran big for her. So I might have been given an 8 and told they were a 9 by mistake (er, I never checked the box).  They have a leather upper and lining and are priced reasonably IMO. They are adorable, super comfortable, and perfect for skirts and dresses when you don't feel like wearing a heel. They will of course work well with shorts and pants too!  I'm wearing it with the Lily Dress a dress that I can't find online anymore. Check it out on Rose here. (..and it fit TTS for her, but I swear the tag said size 10, so I thought it fit small. So strange! I liked it for Vegas, but it was quite short for really anything else. Was priced at $99.99. 

I also tried on the Studio Sweaterdress, which was cute, and I liked size small. It was $29.99 in store and $49.99 online.

What do you think of these two? I'm really loving Madewell and wish there were more stores for people to see things IRL. They all look so much better than online IMO.

p.s. Check out Talbots outlet online -- they are super-clearancing that section. Cute sandals for $10-15! I recommend the Kiara sandals. Have and love them -- super comfy and TTS.
