Little late in posting today...
Just in case you didn't see Alexis' post on JCA, there is a secret 30% off sale code going on at J.Crew (MUSTSHOP). I'm a little bummed, b/c two items popped back this morning that I definitely would have jumped on had I known about the sale. Oh well, more money to put towards Vegas! I'm still glad it's not final sale. Nice especially if you want to try on online-only items, such as swim suits.
I am trying out the Peacock-paisley Ruched Bandeau Tank suit myself. I've commented about these before -- love them!! The strap is removable, there is a bit of padding to offer some modesty at the tot pool, and it's a really great sucker-inner and camouflage in the tummy area. Especially in a print. And all in a fairly sophisticated and non-frumpy package. They have been running on the big side, so I didn't want to chance final sale. Will report back, but am fairly sure it's a winner.
Just a note also, that ebates is 6% for J.Crew right now.
Also stopped in Old Navy, after reading Gigs post here and here about some new items and nice clearance deals. The stuff-n-save deal is over, but I did have a 20% off for cardholders coupon. I was very happy to find a sweatshirt and rugby for DS for about $2 each in the "extra 40% off clearance" rack, and a cute cotton Stripe Tie-Waist dress for about $4 for me. It can be easily thrown on for camp drop off or heading to the pool.
I also took home this really cute tone-on-tone dot tank in navy (on clearance in my store for $8.50), which I plan to wear with my white and tan Boden maxi skirts. It's a bit cropped, but for my torso, it wasn't too short, and is not belly-bearing by any means. Cute with higher-waisted bottoms! I took home all of these with my Rewards card, so felt quite happy about that. :)
Did you try anything with the ON recent sale? Will you be shopping the J.Crew sale or are you waiting for a FP promo? I kinda think the stuff I'm waiting on FP promo will be moved to sale in the next couple weeks anyway. :) Have you been to ON lately? Some cute things -- they've had my attention this spring for sure.

Haven't got anything that I really want from J. Crew. But I know I will be waking up early tomorrow and the next few days to check for popbacks. Isn't that fun and exciting?

ReplyDeleteI do love it and think the sale rice is fair for the quality and pretty. Let me know what you think, if you get it. Ir's nice that it's not final sale though, if it doesn't work for you.
DeleteWow, Old Navy has THE best deals. I found a winter peacoat for $5.98 a week ago and the yellow trench (I already had the red one like you) for $10. I love a good deal. I did manage to snag one item after I saw the JCA post. I hope some other items pop back in the AM.

ReplyDeleteI ended up with sizing up on the Mona's in suede, of that helps at all. Maybe since its not final sale you could try out two for best fit?

DeleteI found the swim suit to add too much extra volume to the bust. If someone needs that its a good suit. I was looking for just a slim fit. Its all the extra fabric at the bust I didn't like. all the colours and prints in this style were lovely.
