Hi everyone,
Talbots has some new spring arrivals to check out. They haven't completely wow-ed me this year, like it did last spring. That said, there are still some pretties to be found, and I always appreciate that they truly mark down their clearance items. ETA: I got an email for 25% off of everything! Try code: 29575959
Here are some of my favorite new items:
Grace Fit Floral Eyelet Jacket -- Similar to J.Crew's eyelet blazer last year, but there are more color options. Black and white are always classic, and I also like this orange one.
Flower Eyelet Skirt -- Eyelet is always so cute in a pencil skirt.
Flower Eyelet Top -- Cute with some cropped white jeans or shorts.
Solid Color Voile Skirt -- Love the look of these voile skirts -- remind me of J.Crew's Jardin:
in Liberty-print
Matte Jersey Maxi Skirt -- Pretty colors. I'll have to see them in person to judge the thickness.
Seersucker Short -- A little dressier in the longer length.
Lanie Suede and Leather Ankle-strap Wedge -- They've been making some really cute shoes. I've been really happy with all the ones I've tried out. They run TTS, and even in some cases a little bigger.
and Lanie Demi-Wedge
Lakia Leather Ankle-strap Mid-heel Pump -- Great low-heel neutral option.
Anything you like?
Have a great day!

Re: the solid voile skirt... Do you know how the sizing is? I bought the jardin skirt in a 6. Never bought anything from talbots before but I noticed that skirt yesterday when I was searching for something else.
ReplyDeleteI usually wear a 6 in Talbots skirts (and wear a 6 in the Jardine). I think the 6 would be the right fit in the voile. I'm going to try to get over there today to do some try-ons and will post if I do!
DeleteLove all those sandals!
ReplyDeleteCute, aren't they? And likely pretty comfortable. :)
DeleteCute eyelet skirts and jackets from Talbots, but isn't it a deja vu? I just received the catalog and it looks like more of the same to me :-(
ReplyDeleteYes, I definitely know what you mean. Nothing was "wow" like it was last year. It's more of a search for the cute items this time. And it's similar to last year, so a little boring.
DeleteJ Crew is finally coming to the UK. I'm beyond thrilled! We don't have Talbots here. I like your choices of wedges and nude heel - all of them have sensible heels. I can barely balance on anything beyond 1.5". I haven't quite figured out how to chase little ones in heels - yet.
ReplyDeleteThat is really exciting about JC in the UK! I agree, it's pretty tough to chase them in heels -- wedges are more doable! :)
DeleteLove the Lakia sandal! I've been looking for a very simple heel with thin straps, no fuss, no platform... Great find!

That maxi skirt needs pockets on it, but I do appreciate the antelope, tan color. I got those crazy pants, the floral ones. The petite length looked stoopid, so I will exchange them for the regular size 4. I'm not convinced about them because they have some break in the thigh in both petite & regular. I wish they were fitted all the way down. I'll have to think about it.
ReplyDeleteUsually I dislike heels w/straps around the ankle like that but I've seen so many of them, I'm coming around. In other news, the cute dress on your sidebar...the Lilly Pulitzer chainlink print is marked down!
Ooh, want to see the crazy pants IRL! I know what you mean about the break -- maybe post some pics for opinions once you get the regular? And oooh, thank you for pointing out that that LP dress is on sale!!
DeleteThe Talbots store near me is closing and is having a 50% off the original price on everything. I picked up the Lanie Leather Demi-Wedges in Nutmeg. Very comfortable for a 3 1/2" heel. Leather is so soft. Fits TTS.
