l.l. bean 15% off ends today.

While I don't buy a ton from them, I appreciate L.L. Bean as classic prepster, and think their Signature line has some interesting pieces (with a bit of a 70's vibe going). They can always be counted on for quality and customer service. They're currently offering a pretty rare site-wide 15% off discount with code JTF2664. You'll also receive a $10 giftcard when you spend $50. They always offer free shipping now, no minimum (love). Definitely check out some of the sale items for great deals on fall/winter.

Here are some of the pieces I've been eyeing:

Signature L.L. Bean Boots -- I've been watching these in the black/brown version for a while now, and with the discount, they're now down to just over $100, which is pretty reasonable for a boot you just know is going to last for ages. (Even full price it's a good deal.) I like the idea of having a lower boot ready for rain and slush, and love that it's black and brown -- goes with anything.

Stacked Heel -- These are super cute and, based on Egyptomaniac's awesome review, very comfortable. The wooden heel reminds me of J.Crew's fabulous Juliet pump of yore. Great price.

Cotton/Silk Flannel Bias Dress -- I kept waiting for a bigger price drop in this dress, and it doesn't seem likely to happen (Dani -- if you see this, I can't find the link?), b/c it's selling out at this price. I believe Danibp has this one in the darker colorway and gave it high marks. I may have to try out the lighter color.

Ducktrap Boots -- If you can pull off a high wedge, I really dig these booties, especially in a rare navy.

Poplin Dress, Stripe -- The reviews note that the skirt part is quite full, so it seems to be more of a party skirt. Looks so adorable. Wish I had a garden party to attend!

Cotton-Linen Dress -- Golden Cider is left and it looks really pretty and classic.

Saltwash Canvas Bowling Bag -- Love this in both colorways! Will go with anything.

Wool Tweed Hacking Jacket -- Total classic and can be worn as a fall coat as well. Looks to be the usual high quality expected from L.L. Bean, in 100% wool, with details like leather buttons, elbow patches and under-collar trim. The belt is a nice touch as well. Great reviews.

Will you be trying out anything with this sale? Have you seen any of these IRL?

Have a great day!

  1. OH! These are so tempting - especially that wool coat and the party dress! If only my grad student budget could afford another splurge!

    2. Sadly no, just practical shoes for my kid. I was tempted by the Signature boots, the stacked heels and the dresses you posted, though.

    1. Hm, it seems to be taking off the 15% for the tote I tried out. Let me see if there are any other codes out there?

    2. I placed my order by phone, so you could try that if it doesn't work. They took off the 15%, and said they would mail the $10 gift card.
