Boat Blouse in wreath -- LOVE. To me, this one is pretty enough to warrant full price, but of course we hope for a discount soon anyway. :) The cut is just so chic and elegant, and the color is gorgeous. I didn't find it too sheer, but it's thin and needs a better no-show t-shirt bra for sure. :) It feels a touch delicate, but not terribly so, like it is going to rip any second. Cute little buttons at the cuffs and navy lining the inside of the neckline. Great length. The size 2 fit nicely, so pretty TTS. I didn't feel like the shoulders were too tight either, which I've found in several of their silk shirts recently.
Natasha Top -- Looks like a new color that isn't online yet, maybe midnight ocean? Very pretty color, although the raw edges are a bit annoying. Nothing super new (ruffles), but it is a great color and quite flattering. I'd personally wait for a sale.
Collection Tie-neck in super 120's -- Not online yet. $138, style #52356. Love this! It's just adorable. Not going to be for everyone, as it definitely has a secretary / flight attendant vibe to it (I know that would be DH's reaction to it, lol), but I just think it's too cute. Very work approrpriate and easily dressed down. It is two tones of navy, made up of very tiny little dots. The necktie is black with tiny white polka dots. 100% wool and full lined. Note that it is fairly short, so hopefully will come in a tall size so it works for tall/long-torso-ed ladies too. I went with a 4 to get a touch more length and it fit nicely. A touch loose in the armholes, which was better in the 2, but nothing is showing in the 4. Will watch for a tall size maybe. It looked cute with the charcoal double-serge pencil skirt.
Vintage Cotton Baseball Tee -- I've been eyeing this one online, so wanted to try on for size. The XS worked. It's really quite cute, love those fun silk arms. But I'll wait for an even lower price (It's $40 online and full price still in store), as this isn't exactly machine-wash friendly.

Thanks for these reviews!!! I squealed when I saw the collection tie-neck top!!! My store did not have that top. Super cute. Is the Natasha top the same color as the in-store only double-serge pencil skirt? I grabbed a Natasha top Monday and it's more teal than blue. Thanks!

They didn't have that color skirt left for me to compare, but it struck me as being similar to the blue herringbone hacking jacket color? Hm, but maybe it was more teal? Ack, sorry, not helpful.

ReplyDeleteI squealed a bit over the boat blouse the day they released it online and immediately ordered it! :) I had a 20% off purchase coupon that I was aiming to abuse so I was happy to add the navy and wreath colors to my order to try. They haven't made their ways to our stores yet so I am excitedly looking forward to their arrival at my house. It looks great on you!

ReplyDeleteOh how I love the boat blouse! My only concern is that the neckline looks more open on the website pic. With my broad shoulders and bigger chest, I can't do the higher neckline. *Sigh* I'm dying to try it, so I guess I'll just have to hold out hope that it will work for me :)
