I received my order from the recent Talbots sale, with the D'Orsay Leather Flats in cameo rose. Loveth! They are currently priced at $35.39, a total steal. The leather is buttery soft, the color is so pretty, a pink that can pass for a neutral, and it's super comfortable. The sides don't dig into my foot one little bit, and there's even a bit of cushioning in footbed. I went with my normal 8.5 size (sometimes I size down at Talbots, but for a D'Orsay, I didn't want to chance tightness), and it's perfect. It's also available in dark sweet almond and black. Pics:

I also picked up some very cute and comfy Cole Haan shoes via the Neiman Marcus sale online, the Air Bria Wedge in snakeskin print/Roccia. Originally $158, they are an extra 25% off sale price, down to $53.25. (Free shipping with NMJULY) I wanted a fun neutral that could add a bit of height (for long jeans) and can do some real walking about. These fit the bill for sure, with the Nike Air and wedge heel. I had hoped for a bit more toe cleavage, but not a deal breaker at all. They felt comfortable and broken-in from the get-go. They fit TTS, taking my standard 8.5.
Did you pick up anything from the NM sale? There were some fabulous deals on big designers.
I love the two colors, the pale neutral pink and the snakeskin look so summery and they'll go with everything. Cole Haan shoes are great, I wish J Crew would try some of that Nike Air technology in their flats!

ReplyDeleteThose Cole Haans are perfect! I'm looking for the same, something higher than flats to wear with jeans and comfy for chasing around my two kids. NM only has narrow left in my size, do you think they run wide? My feet are wider than narrow but slightly smaller than average width.

dawn --I'm not sure if they run wide, but they're definitely not super tight. It might be worth a try? or perhaps a 1/2 size up narrow? If you have a store near you, I'd definitely give it a try.

ReplyDeleteI bought the Talbots patent pointy toe pumps in navy, which are all leather and GORGEOUS for $40 some bucks. But my normal 10 was too small... thankfully they make a 10.5 which I re-ordered during that awesome free shipping promotion yesterday! Their shoes are much higher quality than J.Crew which is awesome, and for such a great deal... Love the d'orsays you got, wish they had my size!
The first pair are such a perfect nude shade.
