j.crew new arrivals.

New arrivals updated online today at la Crew. Here are the stand-outs for me:

Gingham Vintage Schoolboy Shirt $68) -- Yay, short sleeves! Pretty blue and melon.

Flores Perfect Shirt ($88) -- Love pink and green together in an interesting floral.

Tulle Tulip Ruffle Cami ($350) -- I love the Tulip silhouette, but this is reeeeally pricey. If it's the same material as the tulle/lace tank/cami that just rolled out, it didn't pass the quality test. But it's so floaty and feminine.

No. 2 Pencil Skirt ($98) -- New color, Mauve Morning. A pretty color, but sort of boring.

Delilah Pencil Skirt ($88) -- Interesting texture, have to see in person.

Vineyard Pencil Skirt ($128) -- I saw this in person, and it's pretty, but I wasn't completely blown away with it, so a FP pass for me.

Stripe Lace-up Tee ($48) -- I'm pretty full up on stripes in my wardrobe, but love them, so think this is really cute. Love the soft pink as a new color.

Motorcycle Zip Cardigan ($88) -- I like a crisp white cotton sweater, and it's cute in the moto trend IMO.

Tweed and Khaki Motorcycle Jacket ($298) -- I'm interested in seeing this in person. I'm not sure I'll love or hate it, but it's something different and could be cool.

Canvas Schoolboy Blazer ($138) -- Love this in the silk canvas material. Classic.

Maritime V-Neck Dress ($69.50) -- Simple and easy to throw on in summer.

Cecilia Dress ($158) -- Look cute in the blood orange, but the product page is confusing -- no sash, no orange?

Crinkled Silk Caspia Dress ($148) -- Same print as on the perfect shirt, in a pretty silk dress.

Marled Sweatshirt Tee ($55) -- This I can see throwing on a lot.

Sevigne washed leather wedges ($158.00) and sandals ($138) and flip-flops ($59.50) -- Ooh, love these. Love! Soft sandalwood and sour lemon, yes please. The soft leather looks lovely.

eta  Windowpane Trenchlet ($198) -- This isn't pulling in new arrivals, but I found it in a search. I adore the colors and pattern of this linen jacket -- very classic and clean. I wish it wasn't cropped. And, as pointed out by milljcrew on Polyvore, their editors may want to consider putting a picture up of a jacket withOUT two buttons broken!! lol! I definitely want to see this one in person and it's wishlisted for now.

What did you think of this latest rollout?

p.s. check my post from earlier this morning with a review of a purple factory pencil skirt.

  1. Have and love the canvas schoolboy blazer. Love the warm and versatile color. The Delilah skirt looks interesting. I'm liking the mauve no. 2 skirt and will probably pick up the lace striped tee. I'm trying to stay strong with limiting myself on the stripes this season, only one piece so far.

  2. Love the sandals! I wish J Crew shoes were not so pricey! I got my organza dots skirt yesterday in a size 2 and it fits great (I may could have done a 0) ! It has a thin elastic waistband and is not too short at all...I plan to wear it to church. I hate final sale it makes me so nervous! Have you tried the lace panel tee in person? I love the olive but am not sure about sizing??? (In my order yesterday I also got the olive striped back button tee and the xs was huge!) Vanity sizing makes it really tricky to order on FS! Anyway, thanks for your blog and all your reviews it is a great help to me! :)

  3. I hadn't even noticed there were new arrivals...thanks for posting these! I really like the gingham shirt and the Cecelia dress, too--but what IS up with the product page of the latter? Very odd indeed. I am also loving the Bellflower Tweed pencil skirt. I saw it in a store the other day and it is absolutely GORGEOUS!

  4. Cleo -- Good to know on the blazer. It looks lovely. Let me know how you like the striped tee -- it's so cute. I certainly can't say I've only picked up one stripe piece, haha!

Jenny -- Thanks and glad to help! Aren't those sandals pretty? I might have to order to try on, and am hoping the flipflops are super comfy. Great to hear about the organza dots skirt! I hadn't tried this on before, but was wondering. Love that melon color. As for the lace panel, I didn't have a chance to try on, but held it up, so had a sense for it. I stuck with my usual size small, as I'd rather it be a touch loose than too tight. :)

AppGal -- Oh yes, the Bellflower Tweed is so pretty!! I can definitely see this one on you. :)

  5. That windowpane jacket is ADORABLE - the cut doesn't work for me, but it's so, so cute! I hope you are able to try it soon :)

  6. shopwithm, that's funny about the windowpane trench. :) Can't believe they didn't notice that even before shooting the picture. I mean, wouldn't the model have noticed or the fitter? Too funny!

What are your thoughts on the Cloudburst tee? I love the print, and it's much more versatile than the Dulcie skirt, but i fear itchiness and longevity (threads coming loose).

  7. I think I have to try the windowpane trench, loved it ever since it was in the lookbook. I also like the moto cardi in metallic, did you notice that one?
