Hi everyone! I was able to hit Anthro for a quick trip today to make a return and hit up the sale section. Haven't been in since before Snowpocalypse, so I wasn't sure what I'd find. Turns out, some fun things from my wishlist! Most of these aren't online anymore, but you may be able to call CS and see if they can find them for you.
Field Skirt in khaki -- Now I get what the hype is about with this skirt. It's very cute, and I love the longer length. Hm, the color also went well with my J.Crew tee. I was too lazy to take off my jeggings/boots, and it looked much better on than this pic shows, sorry. I probably wouldn't have paid more than the sale price ($40), but I love it for that amount.
Herringbone Sweater Jacket in cream colorway -- I had just read someone's rave review about this jacket before going in, so was pleased to find it in the cream that I always love. So cute on! Sweater-y material feels cozy, but not too hot. Hits on the short side, so long torso-ed people woudn't like. It looks like it juts out more than it does b/c my arm is up to take the picture. $60 at sale price is a good price IMO. This is a medium. I could maybe have done a small, but I think this gave me a touch more length.
Sleeping on Snow Cardigan (can't remember/find the name, but it's ivory version of the Curry Comb) -- This was bumped down to $40 from it's original (high) price of $148. I have the Curry Comb and love it -- so soft and soooo warm. I needs that warmth here in Snowville USA. It's very soft-looking, but it's quite thick, so probably not a favorite for many. It's not going to make you look like a skinny minnie or anything. This is a small.
Buoyant Bunches Cardigan in the store-only navy-striped colorway -- Um, hello little friend for $9.95 (orig $78!)! Perfect for spring. A bit of a nod to nautical, w/o being too obvious. Thrilled to take this one home. This is a small.
Deletta Showpiece Tee (thanks to readers for the name) -- It was definitely a size (or 2?) too big for me (medium), so the armholes were gaping a bit. However, it's nothing that can't be remedied by a little tank, perhaps a belt and a cardi. It's my favorite shade of raspberry pink, and the price tag read another lovely $9.95, so I took it home to play around with it.
Woody Nymph Dress -- On sale for $80. Sadly, I didn't like this very much. A bit low-cut for me, and the print just didn't do anything for me. It actually looks a bit more vibrant in the picture than in person. I liked that it had pockets, and it was comfortable, but overall, it just seemed a bit average on me. I know others have totally rocked this dress. This is a small.
Mystery dress -- Gah, sorry, I forgot to take tag pictures, and can't remember the name. So, this dress did me NO favors. Yikes. This was an XS, so maybe a S or M would give me a lower waist and length.
And finally, they had the mini Lollia lotions in the Imagine scent on sale for $3.95. Breathe is my all-time favorite, but this one is so pretty as well. A breath of spring during the winter doldrums, yay!
Did you pick up anything last week during the sale? This week it's home items.
p.s. Stay tuned for reviews on J.Crew's No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Citron and the Lyric dress in Agate.
The pink is the Deletta Showpiece Tee. I have the same one and it layers so well under a cardi.
ReplyDeleteLove the Field Skirt on you...I'm still trying to decide if I was dumb not to pick one up...I loved the gold color. I think that mystery raspberry colored top may have been the Showpiece Tee? Love the color! GReat reviews...always fun to see what you find in an ANthro sale room!
ReplyDeleteChristine -- Thanks! It's definitely perfect under a cardi. I tried my blazer over it too and loved it.
ReplyDeleteJenni -- Thankis! For some reason I thought you got the Field Skirt? I did love that gold color, but that one might be harder to find than this khaki. My store had a bunch of the khaki, so I imagie it wouldn't be hard to find. It definitely seems like a "you" skirt! ;) Thanks for the name of the tee -- it's a lovely color (always good on blonds!), so I'm happy to have it.
I like the Field skirt too! I passed on it but think it's a great go to skirt! I love the Woody nymph dress but have never actually tried it on I just love comfy knit dresses!
ReplyDeleteI ended up picking the Volante tee in the grey and the Field skirt in the gold. I have never tried either on so hoping they fit. And was curious about the Lace with Grace dress so I orderd it just to try on since there was so much buzz about it.
ReplyDeleteIt was on my wish list and then I set up my monthly budget so something (a lot of somethings) had to give. =( I'll survive! HOWEVER, if I ever come across it in a sale room somewhere I'll consider it fate and it will be mine. haha
ReplyDeleteThat Bouyant Bunches Cardigan is SO CUTE on you -what an amazing deal! I did shop the sale last week, including the Woody Nymph Dress - for me the comfort...ahh, the comfort of a jersey dress, I was sold!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the reviews! Love the pink top, and what a sweet price! I'm really REALLY gonna have to hit Anthro in the next week or so before the sale section gets completely picked over.
ReplyDeletei got the field skirt in mustard at fp and have loved it. would love to pick it up on sale in another color.
ReplyDeletetriciathomas -- Definitely will be a go-to skirt in a nice neutral color. The Woody Nymph is super comfy and will definitely work for so many people. I think it just wasn't my best color palette or something.
ReplyDeleteAnnie -- Lucky you! I think the Volante is so pretty, and love the gold Field Skirt (they were s/o at my store or I would have been tempted). Intersted to see how you like the LwG dress -- so much buzz about it, but I never saw it IRL.
Jenni -- Yay you for sticking to your budget! If it's meant to be, it's meant to be. :)
Jan -- Thanks, I was so thrilled to find that cardi hiding in the sale rack, and then even more excited to see the fab price. You will totally rock that dress!! It's soooo comfy!
ReplyDeleteCloset Crisis -- Thanks, it's a perfect shade of magenta/raspberry. Just made me happy to have it on. Happier still at the price. :) Definitely get thee to the Anthro sale racks stat!
smooch -- Love that mustard color. If I didn't have the JC ochre pencil skirt, I would have been all over it. The khaki would be a lovely addition for you at the sale price. Just sayin'..
