I had a lovely few hours at the mall by myself today. Sooo much nicer to be able to actually peruse the racks and try on clothes without getting into a mad sweat while throwing cheerios at your toddler. Anyway, I digress...
I popped into Banana Republic first, and was happy to hear that they had 30% off all of their sale stuff (in store, not online). Was a bit of a madhouse on a Saturday, but I snuck in there and managed to snag the adorable Drawstring Skirt in Rootbeer Float for about $21. It's a great color, feels like silk (but isn't). Very cute with even just a white t-shirt. Also grabbed plain purple tshirt for $10, and 2 winter knit hats (ivory & grey) for $10 each. Used my $10 rewards card, so was a grand total of $50 for some great pieces.
Jjill had a little sale going on as well. 30% off one full-priced item and then their regular sale section (seemed to have recently dropped a bit). I snagged 3 unexpected pieces b/c they were way cuter on than expected.
Slouchy pocket sweater dress is so freaking adorable - love. Will be super cute with jeans, tights or leggings. $49 (1/2 off) isn't a bad price at all for it either. Since it's "slouchy" (code for big), I went with an XS (I'm a 6) and it was perfect.
Easy ruffled dress - ($49.99 - 50% off) This looks sooo bad and huge on the model here. Wasn't going to try on, but thought I'd give the XS petite a try....and it was perfect. Loved it. Would be great with white leggings or jeans too even.
Pure Jill Wrap Tunic - Another "tunic" sized piece, but I had it in light sage already, and love it. Had to get the grey ($29.99) - great for lounging around, but still cute with some leggings or jeans. Thin material. Got a S in this.
Lots of neutral purchases today, but think they're going to be go-to basics I'll use a ton. Hooray!
